London -- GFI Software Ltd., a U.K.-based provider of network-
security, content-security and messaging software, announced that it
has raised an undisclosed amount of venture-capital financing. Insight
Venture Partners, a New York-based venture-capital firm specialising
in software and Internet services, led the round. "GFI represents an
ideal fit for Insight's investment profile," said Insight founder and
managing partner Jeff Horing. "The company has a significant number
of satisfied customers, innovative technology that has won numerous
product awards and is continually staying ahead of the curve." GFI
recently announced that it has appointed Curtis Staker, the former
president of Websense, as its new chief executive officer.
