Los Angeles -- The Motion Picture Association of
America (MPAA)
is planning to demonstrate in Las Vegas this week what it deems
to be legitimate digital content distribution technologies from
Audible Magic, BitTorrent, CacheLogic, Peer Impact, Red Swoosh
and Thomson Content Security. BitTorrent, a file-sharing
technology that has been targeted in the past by the MPAA,
recently agreed to filter illegal MPAA content from its website.
BitTorrent also recently partnered with U.K.-based cable operator
NTL to trial a service that delivers movies and TV programmes.
